ARRO was contracted by the City of Aberdeen for the design, permitting, bidding and construction services for a water booster pump station on Plater street.
The structure is a factory assembled, above-ground, insulated, modular structure attached to a pump station base; the roof system was field-installed. The exterior of the structure is faced with field-installed, colored, split CMU, while the interior walls and ceiling are faced with fiberglass reinforced plastic sheeting. Structure was factory equipped with all the necessary piping, electrical, HVAC, controls and other appurtenances.
Pump equipment included two, with capability for a third, vertical, close-coupled, in-line, back pull-out, centrifugal pumps capable of supplying maximum of 700 GPM @ 140 ft TDH of finished water.
The pump station includes a 150 kW diesel emergency generator, with a 24-hr run time capacity sub-base fuel storage tank; the generator was factory-installed on the steel skid extensions adjacent to the station.
The pump station is also equipped with telemetry controls and factory assembled transfer equipment with electronic controls.
